There's just too much to do!!!

There is a lot to do. There is a lot to do at home or at work. Sometimes it just feels overwhelming. Don't you wish you could be more productive?

The Special Forces Green Berets are known as masters at getting things done. By normal standards, some of their missions would be deemed impossible. Often times they are expected to operate far behind enemy lines with limited resources. Their training gives them principles and techniques in being extremely effective and doing more with less. By using some of their principles you will be able to

- Plan and use your time more effectively
- Increase your confidence
- Reduce distractions
- Train for success
- Improve commitment
- and much more

Michael Martel uses his real experiences as a Green Beret to illustrate how you can use these techniques in your life to "get er done." It is a great, interesting read that will make you much more effective in your daily activities.

Being a USMC brat, USN Storm vet, and having 2 kids myself, if you're not already a hard charger, don't bother, you'll just get left behind. While the author likes to think there's nothing special about himself or his brothers in arms, I disagree, and it starts with the author's presumption that his average reader has the self discipline to do his action steps. Case in point, if you said you were going to work out, would you have problems getting out of bed in the morning. No, not really. I realize the author addresses this issue in his contradictory commitments, but most people don't have the personal discipline to get out of bed in the morning even when they do know its for their own good.

If you're a hard charger that just needs some guidance on how to focus that will, no problem, this book is for you. If you're the average person looking for some tips on how to get through your day getting things done, try Covey.

Get Er Done The Green Beret Guide to Productivity eBook Michael Martel Tom Haupt Reviews

Once again Michael Martel leads you on a path of proven success from his years of service in the Special Forces. Learn from the best the most basic and simple ways to get things done and be productive. Micheal gives you real life examples and stories from his own life on how to be productive and get things done. This man's personal success story is proof that you can improvise, adapt and overcome. Great book!
Get er Done was a good read. Straight to the point, it doesn't waste your time with fluff or page fillers, it cuts right to the core of each topic in an easy to understand and universal style. I read it twice and will read it again, it's a manual for getting anything done in this life.
An enjoyable book. Well written. Fully explains in layman's terms how to succeed in life in school and in the work field. It always provides info into the life of a green beret. A book both men and women would enjoy and find themselves taking notes from! Want to be a success in the business field? This is a must!
This is a fabulously fascinating book sharing the methods used by Special Forces to be the best you can be. We don't have to be Olympians or Rhodes scholars to do so. As he said practice, plan, innovate, adapt and most of all just don't quit.

On another note, the book still appears to be in first draft editing. It is written like a conversation between himself and you. It reads as someone speaking to you directly. There are spelling errors, incomplete sentences and grammar mistakes but who gives a hoot because this guy gives you the straight and honest skinny on how be more awesome at everything. Kudos and props to Michael Martel.
Looking for a rousing, inspirational, book with soaring rhetoric to make you feel good, then don't bother with this book. However if you want a concise handbook that will show you how to develop your own plans and goals this is the book to read. Developed on the basic principles of leadership used by the Army's Special Forces Groups to accomplish their unique and challenging missions, this book makes it easy for the average non military to understand.
The book reads well and easy, always important for those of us busy folks on the go.
But all the info you need is delivered directly to the point and with the no-nonsense approach of a green beret.
For any leader who seeks how to improve and for those who are sharp and just like to stay that way,
this is a good book to read and occasionally review to stay at the tip of the spear in the world.
Thanks for a job well done and representing the Special Forces way so well.
Saludos!

Hello, I don't often review books although I read many of them. This book was great because their was no fluff. It took 30 to 45 minutes to read, and everything was applicable to life, especially if you use a little creativity. I have read mostly psychology books and everything in here fit right in with what I know about psychology and neuroplasticity, but there was no explanation as to why it works in the book. I guess there is no need to explain why it works if it works, especially in an organization such as the military, where efficiency is key, and there is no room for theory. Great value, especially the kindle edition. I thought the title was cheesy, "get er done", but I was pleasantly surprised, the book gets er done...quickly
